### Re: grid-problems when projecting 3D grid on 2D-plane

Hey, I was able to solve the problem.
Through another interpolation an a rectangular grid! The inclined lines disappeared and the data can be exported without errors

### grid-problems when projecting 3D grid on 2D-plane

Hi everybody, I created a circular zone and did linear interpolation. As result I see my contour nicely on the circular zone. When I project this contour on 2D, i see some inclined lines within the grid. (see figure attached) After data triangulation these lines remain and cause errors on the contou...

### Problems showing triangulated circular zone in 3D

Hi everybody, I created a circular zone, transformed to polar coordinates and did the linear interpolation. Then I extracted a ring-shaped slice from the circular zone to a new zone. I triangulated this zone. Now I want to visualize this zone in 3D space. However the ring shows funny artifacts, like...

### Re: How to show an integration of 2D field as X,Y-plot

Hello Jeremiah,

I got it to work! Created another rectangular zone in my 2d-contour plot and after the triangulation I could do the integration...

### Re: How to show an integration of 2D field as X,Y-plot

I would like to integrate so that I get one value per each J-line integrated over K. And this on one radius, so one I index For the index, ranges: I-index (Mx=10) settings: 9,Mx,1 (just interested in the outmost I-plane) J-Index (Mx=180) settings: 1,Mx,1 (for the whole circumference) K-Index (Mx=15)...

### Re: How to show an integration of 2D field as X,Y-plot

Hello Jeremiah, thanks for the quick reply ! This is exactly what I wanted and it works fine for regular 2D zones. However, I suppose my 2D zones is special: It is a 3D circular zone with coordinates transformed from rectangular to polar that i projected as 2D contour. My x-axis shows the circumfere...

### How to show an integration of 2D field as X,Y-plot

Hi everyone,

I have a 2D contour field, e.g. showing temperature plotted over x- and y-axis.

I'd like to integrate the temperature-field over y-axis and plot it as X,Y-plot with x being the same x as before. Y-axis being temperature.

Could you tell me how to realize that ?

### Re: project circular zone on a 2D contour

Thank you. I managed to create a ring. I used linear interpolation. Will try inverse-distance interpolation also, but it took very long so i tried the linear first. However, if i now want to "open the ring" and plot it on 2D over 360degrees i get good data only over 90degrees of the whole ...

### Re: project circular zone on a 2D contour

Ok, I think I found the basic concept: - Create circular zone. (I didnt quite understand yet the effect of the dimensions radial, circumferential and top to bottom yet. seems to me like the "shape" of the zone is defined by the coordinates. Can anyone comment?) - Transform coordinates. rec...

### project circular zone on a 2D contour

Hello everybody, I would like to create a ring-shaped type of zone inside my 3D-data. Therefore I created a new variable 'radius' . Through certain blanking I can now see my ring-shape. Do you have any idea on how I can extract this shape as zone? Once I have this zone I would like to projec...

### Re: Slices are Clipping the Domain Edges

Hi, I also have a question concerning clipping: Two volume zones should be clipped in Y-direction (always below primary slice). Zone1 clipped below Y=12 (Clip group 1) Zone2 clipped below Y=-10 (Clip group 2) If I enter this in the Zone style page, I get both zones clipped for group1 (clipped below ...

### Re: Data cut-away

Thanks a lot Jerimiah, this is working for me! However, like you said i need to blank quite a number of datapoints. It's a pity I can't select a number of points at once in the data spreadsheat, or is there a way ? Also i didn't quite understand how to set up the blank-variable prior to loading it i...

### Data cut-away

Hello everybody, I have a 3D dataset from which i would like to cut away data (e.g. i have a cube, within this cube i want to cut out a certain shape) (similar to IJK-blanking with interior domain). I cannot use value blanking since i don't want to cut away all data from a certain criteria. I can't ...
