Loading FreeFem++ data to tecplot

I am facing an issue with loading FREEFEM++ data to tecplot. Before I upload the data to tecplot, I add this header VARIABLES = "S", "`a", "`l" ZONE T="FIELD" I=187 J=187 In the Mesh, everything seems ok but when I do "Triangulation" then try to see ...

How to load a particular data format to creat 3D plot?

I am trying to plot 3D some data which I got from a 3D plot. This particular data is in the following format, 7.142857142857143e-7 2.4999999999999998e-6 2.499990137067379e-6 0.7142863265306121 2.4999999999999998e-6 -4.104226440936775e-8 1.42857193877551 2.4999999999999998e-6 -5.0137227989159355e-14 ...

3D animation data format

Hello everyone :D

Let say, I have a function f(x,y,a), where a is a parameter (so-called variable) which varies in a specific interval.

Now, my question is, in which format, I need the data to create a movie/animation in tecplot for this particular function:?:

Cheers!

Are these two different data sets?

Same data set. What I did is included two extra contour lines in the first image.

Lovely :!: :!: :!: :!:

If there have been a direct image upload option on this site then life would have been more easy?

Anyway thanks :!:

Re: Data format for a 3D plot

Please upload screenshot to imgur.com and include it in a reply, one with well-shape contour and one with lost shape. I don't appear to be able to reproduce the issue. The issue is there in the image you uploaded. If you see s [-3, 3] and a [0 4], What I am trying to do here is to remove the extra ...

Re: Data format for a 3D plot

Svetlana wrote:How do you define 'with the same size'? (Plot > Axis > Dependency > Independent comes to mind.)

What I meant to say is this

Axis> Edit Axis> Range > ResetRange.

Once I try to adjust the x and y axes to avoid any empty space on any of the axes, the contour lose its shape.

Re: Data format for a 3D plot

Svetlana wrote: S, a, and L ?

S is x axes, a is y axes and L depends on the two like this L(x,y).

I am trying to plot contour for this a vs S.

When I plot the contour and then try to adjust the axes with the same size, facing problem.

Goodness, this is long, could you please wrap into [code] so it perhaps has a scrollback. I'll process it in a moment. Re: Data format for a 3D plot

[...] the two outputs are very different. L=(S+sqrt(S^2+4*a))/(2) looks wrong, as the output you pasted is from L=(S-sqrt(S^2+4*a))/(2) . Note the different sign. When i use the same format of the data to plot contour then axes are not balanced. When I take the same interval for the each axes then ...
