Tecplot's automation language

Python scripts were supported in the alpha version for Legacy 360 (2013). Python inquiries in 2017 should be directed to the PyTecplot Forum.

TecUtil.ReadDataSet vs TecUtil.DataSetReadX

Postby Hans Holzofen » Fri Feb 22, 2013 4:01 am

can somebody explain to me, what the difference between the functions TecUtil.ReadDataSet and TecUtil.DataSetReadX is?

I am trying to read a tecplot-formatted data-file. By hand I would do this via File -- Load Data File(s).

Unfortunately, I am not successful with either approach.

Thanks for your help,
