Delete frames (Tecplot 360 EX 2016 R2)

Postby giolaca » Mon Feb 06, 2017 8:55 am

I have Tecplot 360 EX 2016 R2, Version I would like to delete an unused frame but I cannot do it. According to the help I have selected the frame (with the arrow selector tool) and even activated the frame in the "frames sidebar". If then I press the Delete key nothing happens and, if I click on Edit on the bar, the Delete option is not available. Does anyone know how to do it?

I am having the same problem. Would Tecplot please respond, this is irritating that we do not get answers, when older versions of Tecplot were transparent and easy to use. The new version may offer one-click actions, but at the expense that you have to know a lot more about the subtleties of it's operation. For a lot of us, that is a step backward.

Is this still an issue for you in the 2017 R2?

I'm sorry about the difficulty you're having. We've added additional Delete options in Tecplot 360 2017 R2.

In earlier versions you should be able to delete the frame by selecting the frame and pressing the Delete key should delete the frame. If this doesn't work you can also try using the macro command: $!FRAMECONTROL DELETEACTIVE.
