Extract a surface from a 3D grid

Postby bastiane » Sat Jun 10, 2017 3:15 pm

Hi,
I am trying to extract a 3D surface from a 3D grid.
The 3D grid has the shape of a lake: it starts at the bottom (y=min) looking like half of ball, and it adjusts up to the top where the section (x,z) is horizontal.
My goal is to get the bottom layer of the grid (x,y,z). I see you can extract a slice, but in my case, I need a slice that has the specific form of the bottom of the grid.
Thanks in advance for the help

If you're able to define an iso-value that conforms to the bottom of the grid you could then draw an iso-surface and extract that. Is that possible in your case?
