Show a variable value for current slice

Postby Svetlana » Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:13 pm

Hi All,

In a three dimensional structured computational domain, a slice at I=1 shows a contour of velocity. I am able to animate it to show a movie of how the slice looks at I=1, I=2, I=3, ... . This works. And this corresponds to different values of "{x/W}" variable.

As a next step, I'd like to use dynamic text or whatever to label the x/W variable value on screen. I consulted the help page on dynamic text, but have not found a way to do so. At best, it tells me the currently available I on screen using &(PRIMARYSLICEPOS[1]) (the '1', '2', '3', ... ). Do we have anything like that for showing a value of a variable (rather than merely a I index) of the currently shown slice?

Thanks in advance!
