I get stuck when doing 3D reconstruction by 2D slices. From my experiments, I can only get planar velocity u and v. So I move the measuring depth and get a stack of 2D data. In order to get the third velocity component, I use the continue equation and dwdz=-dudx-dvdy. Then w will be got through integration. I did it by scalar integral dwdz over K-lines. However, the integration didn't give me the right velocity w. I think it might because of the setting of boundary condition (which I dont know how to set). And maybe I should do the interpolation first as the z (depth) is quite sparse?
Is there anyone know how to do the reconstruction in a proper way? Can Tecplot calculate the w by itself as I give the u and v data?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
