Load CGNS Files? How create Contour Animation?

Postby TheFinger » Sat Apr 16, 2011 1:29 am

Hi guys

I am new to Tecplot and I need kind of a tutorial how to create a animation.

After running a unsteady Simulation I created 100 *.cgns Files for Surface1. I want to load these Files now into Tecplot and create a Contour Animation.

1. Do I have to convert the cgns Files for compatibility?
2.How do I load multiple Files?
3. How do I create the Animation in general?

I already googled my questions without any results!

Need help!!!

Hi,

You would need to upgrade to 360_2011. One of its new features is that we enhanced the CGNS loader so that it will allow you to load multiple CGNS files.

If you are not using 360_2011 then you will need to write a macro that will load each of your CGNS files and write each one out in Tecplot format. Then you could load them all in and animate them
