3D - Rotation Macro

Postby Turnv4ter » Wed Jan 04, 2012 2:12 am

Hi there,

I´m new here in this forum and here is my first question/problem:
At the moment I´m trying to have a turbine rotating, while the casing should not be moving.
To give you all the background, I imported the turbine and the casing as .stl files from CATIA. Now I´m trying to get an animation where I can watch the turbine rotating, while of course the casing remains immobile.

I already managed to initiate a rotation, but I can´t do it as I pictured it above. Any ideas?

In short, I want to have zone xy (turbine) rotating, while zone yz (casing) is immobile.

Sorry for my english which is not the best :)

does nobody have an idea how it could be possible to let one zone(geometry) rotate while the other zone(geometry) remains immobile? or is it simply not possible?
