TecIO DataTypes

Postby maclean » Tue Aug 27, 2013 9:14 am

Using TecIO to write binary files, it seems I cannot write anything but a FLOAT or a DOUBLE type ordered data using TECDAT112 (isdbl is either 0 or 1 according to the documentation).

Is there no way to write Long Int, Short Int or Byte types?

Hello Maclean,

There are certain limitation to TecIO, one of these being that it only accepts and outputs doubles or floats. There is currently no way to write Long Int, Short Int or Byte types. We can see the value of having these additional data types, so I will put in a request to have them added. They may be available in a future release of TecIO.
