While writing fortran code to read Tecplot binary files, I've discovered a few issues with the documentation in the appendix of the Data Format guide "Tecplot 360 EX 2017 Release 1"
On page 168 Section IV of the header section, the integer variable for Data Packing should be omitted. Presumably this variable was removed, because binary files are always block format.
On Page 176 Note 5 for cell centered ordered zones, the manual states that (I)*(J)*(K) values are written out for the (I-1)*(J-1)*(K-1) dataset. It seems as though (I)*(J)*(K-1) values are actually written out. The ghost values aren't written out for the slowest index.
I don't remember seeing it in the guide, but the indices for the vertices start at zero within binary files, and start at one within ascii files.
