hi,

may i know if there's any function which allows one to read the node/cell center values and cell coordinates values of the plt files? i can't seem to find any mention in the manual.

thank you.

Reading PLT files

The answer is yes and no.

While reading Tecplot binary files is not officially supported there is a working example in pltview.c which is distributed with the TecIO library source code:

ftp://ftp.tecplot.com/pub/tecplot/360/tecio

Anyway you look at it you will have to implement this as a Tecplot addon, since there is no TECXXX function for reading binary files.

This is an old thread.
Has anything changed since then?
Has it become possible to read .plt files (binary) right into the Fortran code?
After all, isn't TecIO = TecPlot Input and Output?
