Macro to extract data from a .vc7(LaVision) 2D vector file

Postby aswin1993 » Mon Dec 26, 2016 8:35 am

Greetings,
I wish to write a macro to extract data from a LaVision(.vc7) file which contains velocity fields obtained through Particle Image Velocimetry measurements. Since it is an experimental result, I do not want to interpolate the data that I wish to extract. The data I wish to extract is across a cross section(say x= -60, see the attachments). The current method I know is to count the number of vectors and use that to decide the number of points I wish to extract which is quite tedious as the number of measurements vary a lot in each measurements. Kindly let me know if there is any way to display only the vectors that are already present in the graph. I also wish to know if there is any option to display or edit units for measurements.
